GS-12 salary range: $88,183-$114,634
Duties
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DCOS for Financial Management (N8), Accounting Division (N83) of Navy Reserve Forces Command.
You will prepare complete timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly accounting and financial reports.
You will troubleshoot issues with automated accounting and financial systems.
You will analyze data and trends to communicate findings and recommendations to management for decision-making.
You will research, analyze and query financial systems for validation of data integrity to ensure compliance with DOD/DON regulations.
You will manage, monitor and support N8 financial feeder system requirements such as Budget Builder and Aviation Fuel tool and recommend systems changes in order to support long term system sustainability.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience applying budgetary policies, precedents, procedures and regulations.
*Experience identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems.
*Experience displaying analytical skills to the identification, analysis and conceptualization of budgetary problems and development solutions.
*Experience providing advice, assistance and technical guidance on accounting issues, financial matters, and funding issues.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience assisting in applying budgetary policies, precedents, procedures and regulations.
*Experience assisting in identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems.
*Experience assisting in displaying analytical skills to the identification, analysis and conceptualization of budgetary problems and development solutions.
*Experience assisting with providing advice, assistance and technical guidance on accounting issues, financial matters, and funding issues.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position for the GS-11 position:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
