Duties

As a Supervisory Training Instructor, at the full performance level you will perform the following duties: Reporting to the Leadership Development Center Chief regarding any administrative, staff or student, or curriculum issues. Serving as a Supervisory Training Instructor with oversight of all Leadership Development Center (LDC) instructional development and delivery functions Providing recommendations to influence management's decisions concerning Leadership Development training Supervising a team of Training Instructors and course developers providing classroom and field training.

Requirements

  • Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Basic Requirements: Education: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. AND Minimum Qualifications: For GS-14: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Possesses experience assigning instructors to deliver a variety of training courses Monitors training and scheduling calendar(s); Maintains multiple metrics pertaining to course offerings and attendance; and Possesses knowledge of Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation requirements for accredited courses. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
