This position is part of the WAPA-RMR-Rocky Mountain Region. As a Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Leader (Foreman II EEC), you will be a working member of the crew and assure that the crew's work assignments are carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.**
Duties
Collaborate with supervisors, develop weekly, monthly, and annual work schedules.
Develop regular work plans.
Provide leadership to ensure that the crew has clear work assignments and understands what is expected of them. Provide on-the-job training in work methods and practices.
Participate in the development of annual cost and budget forecast by identifying needs for major repairs, additions, replacements, and/or upgrades of equipment, material, personnel, training, and other operation and maintenance needs used to perform maintenance, provides this information to the supervisor, and uses this information in the planning and scheduling of work.
Inspect work site and monitor work in progress to identify potentially unsafe conditions and if environmental procedures are being followed. Initiate corrective action to eliminate unsafe conditions and ensure environmental procedures are used.
Identify, secure, and/or coordinate material, personnel, and equipment needed for the timely performance of required task.

Applicants must have the ability to maintain, modify, install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and test a variety of simple to complex electronic equipment used in these categories: communication, control process computers, and supervisory control systems, and lead crew members to accomplish the same.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is done both indoors and outside in variable weather conditions. Work often requires much driving, some in rugged isolated areas requiring four-wheel drive, often alone. Work can require considerable travel requiring temporary lodging away from duty station. May be required to travel in a fixed wing aircraft, helicopter, snow mobile, or snow cat to work sites.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is indoors; however, outdoor activities are frequently encountered. May lift and carry loads over 50 pounds, often in outdoor environments that pose difficult terrain issues. May work in close, restricted quarters. Standing, bending, stooping for long periods of time may be required. May be required to hike, climb, or use other methods to get to remote equipment sites as local terrain and climate conditions require. Must be able to climb communication towers up to 400 feet or as required.
