About the Position:
Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist within the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) G-4. Provide logistics-related advice and the responsibility to direct, develop, implement, or function as part of a logistics management operation in support of logistics initiatives sites at Fort Novosel, AL, Fort Eustis, VA, and Fort Huachuca, AZ. Point of contact to the day-to-day operations, maintenance, repair and construction of buildings, grounds, and structures.
Duties
Serve as a specialist for assignments relating to the integration of all aspects of logistics management functions.
Plan, coordinate, and direct a comprehensive facility management/environmental service program to provide an optimum level of service.
Coordinate logistical functions externally with other agencies and within Brigades to ensure logistics operations are in compliance with USAACE and TRADOC policy and funding is available.
Compose Brigade procedures for logistics functions.
Determine the total budgetary requirements to support the assigned facilities/environmental services operations, maintenance, and repair plans.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.
- This position requires a pre-placement medical and annual medical surveillance exam in accordance with Occupational Health requirements.
- May be required to wear and/or use protective clothing and equipment in accordance with established health and safety regulations.

Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed 5 years, however return rights may be impacted. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Develop logistic long term and overall work plan to establishing priorities for aviation logistics and facilities. 2) Use automated supply system to inspect organization supply documents and accounts for property, supplies and equipment. 3) Conduct assessment of facilities/environmental services, budgetary expenditures and interface with departments/division and management officials. AND 4) Provide technical advisory service for the proper modification of aircraft equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
