This position is located at Hunter Outdoor Recreation Parks and Picnic Areas, Hunter Army Airfield, GA. This is a Regular Full-Time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits. Duties

Mows grass, lays sod, weeds flowerbeds, trims and edges walkways and lawns. Prunes shrubs and trees; applies fertilizer, waters plants, cleans out drainage ditches, shovels snow from walks and driveways. Loads and unloads conveyances; moves materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies; stacks and arranges supplies for storage; collects refuse and recyclable materials. Digs, fills and tamps soil and gravel in earth excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Satisfactory completion of medical examination.

Qualifications

Three (3) month of laboring experience required. Must have the ability use, control and clean tools and power equipment used, and ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervisor of each task assigned. Highly Preferred Criteria: Have experience in operating lawn mowing equipment (zero turn mower, push mower, weed eater, garden tractor) and lawn maintenance. Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications, & Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.
