About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), Information Technology Laboratory (ITL), Supercomputing Research Center (SRC) in Vicksburg, MS.

Duties

Perform Day-to-day HPC system software administration. Collaborate with the Government Security Compliance (GSC) team, ensuring HPCs maintains system security compliance as provided (including but not limited to completing required documentation of updates and changes) Perform proactive health checks and metrics analysis on HPC systems. Reporting of System Metrics InfiniBand network maintenance and troubleshooting Manage Support Case Logging, Tracking and Escalation Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required to maintain compliance with applicable security standards. Deploy physical hardware using HPC deployment tools and configuration and orchestration tools (Ansible) Security+ (90 days after onboarding)

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the planning and delivery of systems administration services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, in response to customer requirements. Applies knowledge and skills in systems administration operations, software distribution tools and mechanisms, and data integrity and data hosting tools and techniques. Ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services.
