As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The organization provides support and advocacy in the following business areas: position and personnel management, employee, and administrative programs.
Duties
Manages a multi-functional organization that works on complex and challenging projects and programs that cross organizational lines/disciplines.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- This Level 1 (Low Risk) position requires favorable adjudication of a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation prior to appointment.
- Management may choose to interview some, all, or none of the referred applicants.
- Unless previously completed, the incumbent must satisfactorily complete a 1-year probationary period to remain in this supervisory or managerial position.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience is defined as:Experience in applying advanced knowledge of position management and other human capital administrative policies and procedures to execute various business functions.ANDExperience in leading a team to include but not limited to planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, assigning/coordinating work, and providing performance feedback.NOTE: In addition to meeting the basic qualification requirements, those applicants who demonstrate that they meet the Quality Ranking Factor (QRF), will be referred to the selecting official as Well Qualified. The qualified applicants will be referred only if there are no well-qualified applicants.QUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF): Experience in applying position management principles/guidelines for a complex organization having varied occupations, organizational functions and collective bargaining agreements.
