The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.

Duties

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Represent the Intelligence Community-not just the agency you come from-to PDB principals. Develop and deliver tailored and insightful intelligence briefings to the US Government's most senior policymakers or intelligence officials on key national security issues. Plan, develop, and deliver tailored and insightful intelligence briefings to senior United States (US) Government and/or senior Intelligence Community (IC) officials on key national security issues. Synthesize raw traffic on key issues into a coherent briefing and consult with IC components as necessary to understand the significance and relevance of late-breaking/overnight information. Plan and produce effective briefing materials for customers that incorporate finished intelligence products, raw intelligence background notes, and other relevant information that is synthesized, organized, and compiled in the delivery of an effective oral briefing; anticipate likely questions and develop responses using background information, acquired materials, or information provided by IC experts. Anticipate questions and develop responses using provided background information, acquire materials or information furnished via consultations with IC experts, and interact effectively and confidently with the principals to explain, and as necessary, educate them on IC tradecraft and analysis. Record daily feedback in the PDB database (Bookbuilder) that accurately characterizes your principal's reaction to the briefing. Engage the principals to frame and elicit clear, appropriate, and meaningful taskings, collaborate with IC components to ensure taskings are well understood and that the principals' needs are clear. Interact directly with senior ODNI and IC analytic managers to provide the principals' PDB feedback and any taskings, and to help shape the intelligence questions that follow-on products should address. Continually expand personal expertise on a full range of current intelligence and policy issues that provide the background and depth of understanding required to compile and support daily intelligence briefings to the senior IC officials, and mentor junior employees. Plan, research, and obtain necessary information for customer briefings and answer customer questions using provided background information, acquired materials, or information furnished via consultation with IC experts; exploit internal and external online databases, pose and obtain answers to questions from appropriate organizational and IC sources, synthesize relevant raw intelligence, and consult with peers, colleagues, and components as necessary. Be aware of and abide by dissemination restrictions on sensitive intelligence. Work collaboratively with other briefers and principals' staffs. Support PDB expeditionary operations by traveling with PDB principals as needed.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements: At least 3 years of all-source analytic experience, critical-thinking and representational skills, experience briefing customers, and an extensive understanding of US national-security interests. Demonstrated writing and oral presentation skills and demonstrated ability to clearly express information to individuals at the highest levels of government and anticipate and answer their questions. Extensive knowledge of analytic tradecraft and understanding of component and IC policies, capabilities, and procedures; knowledge of key US foreign policy and national security objectives for key regional and transnational issues. Extensive knowledge of key US foreign policy and national security objectives for key regional and transnational issues and ability to stay informed of current trends and developments and ability to work under tight time constraints with multiple daily deadlines. Demonstrated ability to remain open-minded and change opinions based on new information and requirements. Demonstrated ability to work under tight time constraints with numerous daily deadlines to review a large body of information and distill relevant products into a comprehensive, sophisticated daily intelligence briefing; and a superior ability to efficiently set priorities, perform multiple tasks, and change focus quickly as demands change in a fast-paced, time constrained environment. Extensive knowledge and experience exercising sound judgment, tact, and integrity to manage interactions with senior US policymakers and intelligence officers, including a superior ability to establish and maintain regular contacts in the IC for exchanging information. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with superiors, colleagues, and subordinates. Bachelor's degree in subject matter area, or closely related discipline. Desired Requirements: Experience as a PDB Briefer Experience as an all-source analyst.
