You will serve as a HAZARDOUS WASTE SPECIALIST in the HAZARDOUS WASTE BRANCH of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
Duties
You will serve as the Hazardous Waste/Material Specialist for the Combat Center and perform related work required to assist in the day-to-day disposal of hazardous waste/materials from generation sites within the combat center and tenant commands.
You will ensure hazardous waste/material located within the HWAA are properly identified, contained, labeled, and stored.
You will coordinate the development and implementation of a data management system to support day to day hazardous waste/material disposal operations and the compilation and submittal of report to cognizant management official.
You will assist the Hazardous Wate Material Officer with the development and incorporation of hazardous material and waste constraints into the construction and maintenance of improved grounds and facilities.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing hazardous waste disposal procedures within state and federal regulations, providing technical support on the proper storage and transportation of hazardous waste, implementation of data systems to support disposal operations and compile reports.
GS- 07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing hazardous waste disposal procedures within state and federal regulations, accurately identify or classify hazardous waste in order to determine handling and storage requirements, conduct independent research to accurately identify or classify hazardous waste in order to determine handling and storage requirements.

Education
Applicants may also qualify based on education OR a combination of education and experience, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above, through ONE of the following:
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
GS-07:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
Must have a combination of specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal 100 percent.
