As a National Bank Examiner (International Banking Supervision Field Examiner), you will conduct and assist in the supervision of federal branches and agencies of foreign banks operating in the U.S. and U.S. financial institutions operating internationally, and carry out challenging responsibilities involving supervisory activities.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner (International Banking Supervision Field Examiner), you will:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor supervisory activities, including assessing risk, developing supervisory strategies, and developing responses to address risk.
Conduct or participate in discussions with management officials within the International Banking Supervision (IBS) financial institutions and with OCC management on findings and recommendations.
Maintain effective communications within the OCC and ensure that appropriate coordination and follow-up activities take place.
Prepare reports of activities, and developing responses to address risks.
Provide leadership and training to other examiners and may instruct at formal schools; serve as a consultant in one or more specialty area to employees and managers.
Participate in various field, large banks and Washington Office assignments.
Prepare communications to foster positive changes within the bank.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Conducting examinations or reviews to determine a financial institution's condition, compliance with banking laws and regulations Including identifying and recommending corrective actions.
AND
Selective factor:You must also possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting that you are authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
