This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fort Totten Agency, Superintendent - Fort Totten Agency, Regional Director - Superintendent, Facilities Management in Fort Totten, North Dakota. NOTE: TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.

Duties

Prepares time and attendance reports, travel authorizations/vouchers, Requests for Quotations, requisitions, GSA orders, all purchase orders, etc. for the branch. Administers Acquisition and Property Management functions for the agency and includes procurement and utilization of all government equipment, supplies and services in procurement of proper sources of supply and methods of purchasing. Maintains property records and is responsible for annual inventories of property items and assists in the review and disposal of old and obsolete property and equipment items. Works with the Superintendent in the preparing and completing of the annual property inventory, assisting in completing documents for transfer or disposal of major equipment. Reviews, evaluates and types costs of maintenance and operation and implements reporting system to ensure compilation of adequate data to permit analyzing of programs and program allocations.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for One-Grade Interval Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303) GS-6: 1 year of specialized experience* equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service which involved which involved preparing and reviewing correspondence; tracking correspondence through a software system, making travel arrangements and processing vouchers; arranging for conferences, meetings, and training sessions; ensuring that all requests for action or information are acted upon and due dates are met; assisting with budget and position paper activities; maintaining office filing systems, responding to general telephone inquiries and correspondence, preparing purchase orders and requisitions, and developing and utilizing software to log information and maintain a database, including mail merges. *SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the position to be filled. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
