THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPV IT SPEC (SYSADMIN), Position Description Number D1648P01 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Duties

As a SUP IT SPEC (SYSADMIN), GS-2210-12, you will serve as a first level supervisor over a group of Information Technology Specialists performing a variety of systems administration and customer support work for an intelligence unit. The highest level of work supervised is at the GS-11 level. The work of the organization impacts the ability of unit personnel to retrieve and send mission critical intelligence data.

• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
• Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

Military Grades: ENLISTED SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience supervising a group of Information Technology Specialists performing a variety of systems administration and IT customer support duties in support of an intelligence unit. Experience with systems and services used in the automated acquisition, storage, manipulation, management, movement, control, display, switching, interchange, transmission, assurance, or reception of information. Information technology includes computers, network components, peripheral equipment, software, firmware, services, and related resources.
