This position is located in Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, Director of Operational Logistics, Office of Base Operations (DOL-3), Borinquen Child Development Center (CDC), in Aguadila, PR.

Duties
This position is located in the Borinquen Child Development Center (CDC), Aguadila, PR. The incumbent series as a “Lead Teacher” and performs the normal range of teacher functions which include planning, classroom instruction, and related work under the supervision of the CDC Director and Assistant Director.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary resusciation is required,
- Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- This position requires travel.
Qualifications
AT THE GS-5 GRADE LEVEL: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 grade level (in the Federal sector). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include: assisting in planning or implementing early childhood education programs; providing appropriate, specialized developmental care and instruction for children; performing daily planning activities; maintaining records of progress in areas such as growth and motor skills and preparing progress reports of each child; observing and reporting significant individual and group behavior; participating in parent/teacher conferences; and maintaining files of approved programs of instruction.ORFour years above high school (must provide transcripts)ORCombination of post-high school education and specialized experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position (must provided transcripts)
