Duties

Manage traveler accounts; sets up employee, contractor, and invitational travel. Monitor and run reports for ATM usage, delinquencies, declinations, discrepancies, fraud, and suspensions. Track and assist with applications for new cards region-wide; establish accounts and set controls and cost accounts. Provide clarifying instruction to users, reimbursement expenditure issues, periodic vendor changes, and other inquiries from regional travel coordinators. Assist with the Help Desk requests and with resolving travel authorizations and vouchers for region users and authorizing officials. Conduct monthly travel statement audits, review, and reconcile on accounts with discrepancies and required samples of all accounts according to guidelines and regulations. Provide new and remedial training as needed.

Qualifications

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume. To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in Federal Service. Specialized Experience must include at least three of the following duties: 1. Maintaining Files; 2. Identifying and resolving problems by locating answers and information; 3. Composing and sending correspondence; 4. Utilizing a variety of software programs and applications to create tracking spreadsheet and presentations; 5. Preparing travel authorizations or vouchers. To qualify at the GS-08, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-07 level in Federal Service. Specialized Experience must include at least four of the following duties: 1. Entering data into a finance or travel system; 2. Resolve customer email inquiries; 3. Identify and resolve problems by researching systems (i.e. financial, travel, or bank systems) and apply policy and regulations; 4. Providing new and remedial travel card training as needed; 5. Conducts monthly travel statement audits, reviews, and reconciliations on accounts with discrepancies; 6. Utilizing a variety of software programs and applications to create tracking spreadsheets and presentations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 06/11/2024.
