About the Position: The Directorate of Public Works mission to ensures the long-term viability of the installation's ability to support military commanders, while advancing environmental stewardship, community relations, and quality of life for the community.

Duties

Serve as an Engineering Technician within the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Business Operations and Integration Division (BOID). Responsible for General Fund Enterprise Business System and Army Maintenance Application data input and management, work classification, planning and work prioritization, Rough Order of Magnitude estimation, detailed tracking, and customer feedback. Performs analyses and evaluations, initiates corrective actions, and prepares reports presenting results of analyses.

Requirements

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

GS-10 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing automated systems for work order tracking, recording, reporting and analyzing in areas such as maintenance, repair, construction and alteration of organizational facilities and equipment; reviewing customer work order requests; maintaining documentation for work authorizations; serving as a liaison between customers and staff; and preparing written and statistical reports to provide technical advice during meetings and briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesmanaging automated systems for work order tracking, recording, reporting and analyzing in areas such as maintenance, repair, construction and alteration of organizational facilities and equipment; decision authority for accepting or rejecting customer work order requests for compliance in areas of funding, organizational guidelines and mission requirements; maintaining documentation for work authorizations; preparing data files and visual aids to show job statuses; utilize proper judgement to arrive at conclusions acceptable to customers and staff; and preparing written and statistical reports to provide technical advice during meetings and briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
