This position is located in a National Park Service Unit. The primary purpose of the position is to operate one or more motor vehicles, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds.
Duties
Duties will include operating various vehicles and equipment, pothole repair, crack sealing, guiderail repairs, sign maintenance, trail maintenance, lawn mowing and care, brush and tree removal, and pickup and removal of trash and roadside litter.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

SCREEN OUT: Have experience that demonstrates the ability to perform work as a motor vehicle operator and assisting journey-level, or other higher graded workers; Experience included work such as operating gasoline or diesel-powered heavy equipment, the use of motor vehicles of a gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 pounds to transport material to and from the work site; operating trucks of a gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 pounds with snowplows. Experience in the construction, repair and upkeep of wildlife boundary fences, as well as in equipment and building maintenance and trail and road repair projects. My work is spot-checked by supervisor and evaluated for quality and neatness.
DRIVER'S LICENSE: This position requires that the incumbent possess a Driver's License.
