WHAT IS THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)DIVISION?

Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
The Chief Financial Officer, Deputy CFO, Senior ACFO Financial Management, ACFO Revenue Financial Accounting, Revenue Accounting Operations, Campus Accounting Department 2, Ogden RACS Unit 2.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
Distributes, balances, monitors and reports on workload in accordance with established workflow or job specialization. Assures equitable distribution among employees and timely accomplishment of assigned work load.
Amends or rejects work not meeting established standards and refers to supervisor any problems on meeting performance standards.
Maintains current knowledge of procedures, policies and directives; answers questions; and provides both classroom and OJT instruction to employees.
Resolves simple informal complaints, refers others to supervisor; reports on performance, progress and training needs of employees and on disciplinary problems.
Performs administrative duties in the absence of the manager.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-08 LEVEL: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience using the full range of accounting procedures, techniques, terminology, and regulations to identify erroneous journal entries and perform extensive research to resolve account discrepancies and errors; Experience using automated accounting control system and manual procedures, extensive account structures and systems, the full range of accounting code classifications, subdivisions, associated codes, and documents to process extremely varied transactions. You experience should involve extensive problem solving, and innovative approaches as well as substantial research, complex reconciliation, balancing, and adjusting on unusual transactions and a wide variety of accounts.
