You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist of RLSO SE JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will analyze and evaluate case files against case litigation worthiness standards.
You will correct case files deficiency before sending the case on to the concerned trial attorney.
You will review and analyze available precedents relevant to cases under consideration for use in presenting case summaries to trial attorneys.
You will prepare forms, standard legal documents and routine correspondence.
You will prepare cases in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, precedents, policies, office practices and established procedures.
You will conduct investigation and information gathering to determine pertinent facts.
You will interview clients/witnesses to obtain and verify information.
You will provide guidance to client regarding court procedures.
You will analyze issues received from attorneys to formulate appropriate legal positions.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience analyzing the legal impact of legislative developments and administrative and judicial decisions, opinions, determinations, and rulings on agency programs; conducting research for the preparation of legal opinions on matters of interest to the agency; performing substantive legal analysis of requests for information under the provisions of various acts equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Reviewing legal case materials to become familiar with questions under consideration; 2) Interviewing potential witnesses and prepares summary interview reports for the attorney's review; 3) Preparing and organizing trial exhibits, as required, such as statistical charts and photographic exhibits; and 4) Preparing summaries of testimony and depositions.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience analyzing the legal impact of legislative developments and administrative and judicial decisions, opinions, determinations, and rulings on agency programs; conducting research for the preparation of legal opinions on matters of interest to the agency; performing substantive legal analysis of requests for information under the provisions of various acts equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Applying, standardized court rules, processes, and procedures sufficient to perform the full-range of legal support assignments; 2) Assisting others to acquire information concerning the scheduling of court hearings, postponements, cancellations, and rescheduling of court activities; 3) Identifying legal documentation and time requirements; and 4) Collecting fees due to the court and maintaining record of fees paid or due.
