You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military/OA) in the Personnel Department (N1) of NRC JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will review assignment orders on SELRES affiliating with NOSC Reserve Units. Reviews Reserve Unit Assignment Documents (RUADS’s), RFMT, NRRM, NSIPS and other systems on a continuing basis to identify vacant billets. You will assist the Reserve Programs Director (Department Head) and advise him/her in the management, direction, and control of Naval Reservists assigned. You will independently process gains, losses and transfers of Reserve Sailors, via numerous personnel system. You will analyze Navy Reserve Unit Manning Documents (RUADS) monthly with unit manpower staff (CO/XO) and Navy Reserve Officer Recruiters to identify open billets, verify IMS codes, and qualified fills. You will process Officer bonuses for initial affiliates and critical skills personnel such as doctors, nurses, and special warfare qualified members as determined by the Navy; and upload contracts.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience maintaining personnel pay accounts (e.g. pay transactions, allowances, entitlements, retirement pay transactions) within a Web-based accounting system. Experience processing personnel accounts (e.g. Gains, Losses, reenlistments, extensions, separations, administrative discharge, retirements) within a Web-based personnel system. Experience maintaining correspondence, publications, directives, recurring report tickler files, and/or filing systems related to personnel functions. Experience utilizing a variety of computer based programs, web based personnel and/or accounting systems ( e.g. Microsoft Office, Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS), Reserve Force Manpower Tools (RFMT), Homeport, APPLY, CMSID and Reserve Headquarters Support (RHS)). Experience with civilian personnel principles, concepts, laws, regulations, and policies in solving difficult personnel problems. Experience processing administrative and/or pay discrepancies.
