This position is located at Pililaau Army Recreation Center in Waianae, Hawaii (Island of Oahu). This position is eligible for Sunday Premium as applicable. Duties

Inspects and analyzes refrigeration equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioning electric fixtures and completes needed repairs. Needs broad knowledge of and skill in maintenance methods and techniques for trades applicable to the nature of assignments. Prepares cost estimates for completion of a job. May prepare and paint equipment, fixtures, furnishings and bulking; hang wallpaper; install and repair water, sewer and gas fixtures; and cut, bend and fit pipes and fittings. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing over 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Successfully complete physical medical examination.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Required to follow safety procedures and use standard safety equipment such as gloves, ear protectors, and safety glasses to avoid possible hazards in the work area.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 1. Lift and carry ladders, scaffolds, and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. 2. Possess skill in the use of power tools used to complete projects. 3. Have demonstrated ability to use electrical test equipment. 4. Possess math skills necessary to measure, fit and cost materials used. 5.
