About the Position: Serve as a Security Specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Readiness and Contingency Operations Division in Cincinnati, OH.
Relocation Incentive may be authorized.
Situational telework as determined by agency policy.
Duties
Serve as a principal staff officer and subject matter expert in the Division Readiness and Contingency Operations (RCO)as the Antiterrorism Officer for the Division.
Independently responsible for developing, coordinating, monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the status of the Division Antiterrorism program.
Responsible for developing and updating, the Antiterrorism portion of the Division Integrated Protection Operations Order.
Coordinate Antiterrorism plans including threat collection, information security, crisis management, terrorist response, weapons of mass destruction response, mass casualty plans, emergency management, and physical security plans.
Assess the readiness of district security, and monitors response forces to deter and withstand terrorist attacks.
Develop, coordinate and implement policy for changing Force Protection Condition (FPCON) levels.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to be a graduate of the Antiterrorism Level II Course.
- This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program. This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes developing and analyzing Antiterrorism plans including threat collection plans, information security plans, crisis management plans, and terrorist response plans; planning antiterrorism exercises; and presenting information on antiterrorism and force protection guidance
