This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of leading the design, integration, and institutionalizing FDIC’s Enterprise Data Strategy. The incumbent of this position is responsible for the FDIC Business Data Services (FBDS) Program. Duties

Directs, oversees, executes, and maintains the FDIC Business Data Services (FBDS) Program. Ensures FDIC stakeholders meet the FDIC’s business and legal requirements with regard to failed institutions; investigates and resolves claims and actions related to the failures; provides service to the customers of the former institutions such as providing lien release or payoff information for loan; provides records, and data to appropriate third party requestors through subpoenas or FOIAs, and conducts appropriate research and analysis on the failed institution. Develops and defends the annual FBDS program budget, manages program expenses, and provides CIOO management with regular financial updates. Leads assigned staff in developing and executing program objectives, policy and procedures. Conducts periodic program review and analysis briefings to compare progress with objectives and established milestones. Provides consultation to, and works cooperatively with, other organizational entities and advises the Chief Data Officer (CDO).

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in one of the following areas: program/contract management related to information technology contracts, or oversight of failed bank related activities to include legal actions, asset dispositions, or failed bank data collection. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
