You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT (CODE 900)as Planning Officer, PRODUCTION CONTROL DIVISION (CODE 960) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will collect, analyze and disseminate all data/metrics associated with intermediate Level Maintenance to include planning, execution, quality, productivity, workload forecasting, material management, and budgeting.
You will coordinate and integrate maintenance schedules and then communicate the plan to command management personnel.
You will organize and direct a large and varied workforce composed of supervisors, production controllers, logisticians, contractors, and senior enlisted personnel.
You will review work specifications to ensure compliance with administrative and procedural requirements, and confirm technical adequacy/accuracy of recommendations.
You will facilitate and lead all required meeting associated with production work, mitigating any issues associated with planned work, materials and funding.
You will determine Quality Assurance (QA) requirements and identify production process shortfalls to determine and initiate required corrective actions.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You may be required to perform temporary duty travel approximately 10% of the time. Travel may be on short notice and extended periods of time.

- You will be required to transport yourself in an expeditious manner between job sites in the local area of your permanent duty station with reimbursement of costs in accordance with Joint Travel Regulation.
Qualifications
GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of production control methods to develop and implement improvement procedures to prevent production delays, scheduling conflicts, or material shortages during the repair or overhaul of naval ships or submarines.
Experience applying techniques of engineering and the properties, operation, and limitations of engineering systems, processes, structures, machinery devices, and materials to evaluate testing trends and new technological developments.
Experience and knowledge in the management of corrective and preventive maintenance procedures for engines, corrosion control, electronics, weapons, and machines and other related engineering disciplines.
Experience exercising the full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities and responsibilities in directing work.
Experience using strong oral/written communication skills to communicate professionally at the senior executive level.
Experience in and expert knowledge of executing intermediate level surface ship maintenance processes and procedures.
