You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. WG-08 SALARY: $31.14 - $36.31 PER HOUR WG-10 SALARY: $35.43 - $41.36 PER HOUR

Duties

You will install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and similar complex electrical loads. You will plan and lay out routing, placement, and arrangement of industrial or similar complex systems, circuits, controls, and equipment, in accordance with building plans, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. You will determine installation and repairs including, types, sizes, gauges, and lay out of conduit, wiring, couplings, fittings, relays, controls, and distribution panels. You will make installations, modifications, repairs, load and test systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: WG-10: 1) Working from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, drawings, and electrical maintenance and repairs manuals; 2) Repairing and maintaining a variety of complete electrical systems and equipment; and 3) Operating hand and power tools (e.g. cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines) and a variety of testing equipment. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume. WG-08: 1) Testing, repairing, cleaning, and adjusting a variety of equipment; 2) Operating a variety of test equipment and hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wire cutters, test lamps, and ammeters; and 3) Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduits. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
