You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the CONTRACTS AND MATERIAL DEPARTMENT ofFLT NUMER OCEANGPHY METEO CTR.

Duties

You will receive incoming supplies and materials from Receiving Section of FNMOC from various shipping companies. You will issue consumable supplies to FNMOC Departments or delivers when necessary. You will be responsible for the management of consumable stocked material and coordinating replenishments. You will maintain and updates information in Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). You will maintain the security and cleanliness of the Warehouse supply areas. You will determine if containers are safe to handle, non-leaking, capable of withstanding routine handling and safe for required period of storage. You will collect, palletized, and staged recyclable material You will provide technical expertise to personnel engaged in supply and functions within the command. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current State Forklift Driver's license.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift

Qualifications

To qualify for a GS-09 your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing a full range of warehouse functions with gradually less supervision, to include receiving, locating, storing, shipping and warehousing materials in accordance with established procedures and operating requirements. Experience working with a high degree of independence in determining sequences of loading and unloading, developing space utilization plans, and moving materials. Experience conducting physical and spot inventories. Experience moving other stock by hand and dollies. Experience operating a forklift up to 6,000 pounds in stacking and palletizing items and using other tools and maintaining a State Forklift Driver's Licenses for vehicle operation. Experience maintaining and issuing hazardous material as well as ensuring hazardous materials are labeled properly for delivery with proper documentation. To qualify for a GS-07 your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience receiving incoming supplies and materials from Receiving Section of FNMOC from various shipping companies. Experience unloading and storing items in a warehouse and other storage facilities. Experience moving stock by hand and dollies. Experience operating a forklift up to 6,000 pounds in stacking and palletizing items and using other tools and maintaining a State Forklift Driver's License for vehicle operation. Experience verifying items to be shipped. Experience labeling hazardous materials properly. Experience collecting, palletizing, and staging recyclable material. Experience receiving/assembling furniture as required. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience

GS-07:
Successful completion of 1 full year of graduate level education
