Duties
Responsible of maintaining order at the swimming pool facility. Maintain continuous surveillance of patrons in swimming pools. Ensure appropriate headcount of patrons involved in a swimming and/or watersport on an hourly basis. Call out warnings or take appropriate action for patrons who may have ventured too far or are in imminent danger. Provide safety information to patrons prior to them indulging in a water sports or recreation water play. Supervise patrons to ensure that they are swimming within the safety protocols.

Qualifications
Must be at least 15 years old. Six months of experience as a pool lifeguard is preferred. Has a current nationally recognized certifications (example: American Red Cross): Lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent or MUST be obtained within 30 days of hire. Ability to use and perform maintenance of pool equipment. Understanding of and the ability to enforce rigid safety regulations to ensure maximum protection of swimmers. Ability to use equipment to take pool readings. Must be able to pass an initial and recurrent physical ability test. National and state background checks are required.
