This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph Clubs.
This is a flexible category position guaranteed 00 hours per week, may work up to 40 hours per week. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible category position are not eligible for benefits.
Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time.
Duties
The purpose of this position is to serve food, pre-selected and ordered by arrangement, and limited to banquet (group) service. As directed, secures linen, glassware and silverware, depending on the particular format (menu, food and beverages). Readies groups of tables for food and beverages, making sure that dishes, glasses and silverware meet cleanliness standards, and that linens are spotless and condiment containers are filled. Following specific instructions and rigid time schedules, secures food from kitchen, and carries beverages from bar and serves customers. Refills food and beverage containers and performs emergency cleanup services. Answers simple questions concerning menu items and food served. Cleans and prepares tables for further use. Performs other related cleaning duties as time permits including the preparation area, kitchen and dining room. May perform incidental dishwashing and other tasks. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has physical requirements which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
- Must meet the appropriate minimum 18 years of age or older requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
- The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area as noted in the Job Opportunity Announcement.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):You qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of food and beverage service.
2. Knowledge of and ability to maintain a high standard of sanitation.
3. Ability to follow simple oral instructions.
4. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
