Duties

Provides a wide variety of administrative assistance in connection with the management of the office of Installation Management Command (IMCOM) G9 Personnel Services Division. Performs administrative and support services essential to the direction and operation of the IMCOM G9, and additionally receives visitors and public telephone inquiries relative to a broad range of subjects, evaluates requests, relays customer messages, provides applicable or requested information and/or refers inquiry to proper personnel for detailed answer. Performs administrative automation tasks in support of the IMCOM PSD staff. Produces administrative reports, correspondence or written documents which may require incumbent to integrate data from different types of materials and software into a single document. Properly packages correspondence requiring higher level review, coordination and approval. Maintains master files of correspondence for IMCOM G9. Assists in the development and revision of administrative policies and procedures. Assists Action Officers on a wide variety of projects and programs. Produces a variety of recurring reports, charts, and statistical data utilizing various types of software including word processing; data base applications for office management, file management and control; electronic mail; scanning; communications; spread sheets; calendars; and text search and retrieve. Edits copy for grammatical correctness, clarity of thought, and proper format. Processes draft, worksheets and memorandums in final form. Drafts replies to general inquiries not requiring a technical knowledge of the program. Supports and coordinates the centrally funded permanent change in station (PCS) program. Receives and prioritizes requests for centrally funded PCS moves for IMCOM G9 enterprise. Prepares PCS and TCS orders applying the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR). Conducts pre-and post-PCS counseling to employees and explains entitlements estimates. Liaisons with NAF Payroll and IMCOM G9 Financial Management team to process payments. Maintains tracker and document records and prepares cost estimates when PCS costs repayments is necessary. Schedules fingerprint ointments for newly hired employees. Submits background checks into the National Background Investigation Portal. Provides assistance and advice for other IMCOM HQ administrative staff as requested/needed.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a T1
  • Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • One year probationary period may be required

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. Possess prior professional experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to work with a variety of information systems. Possess experience drafting replies to general inquiries not requiring a technical knowledge of the program. Possess experience producing a variety of recurring reports, charts, and statistical data. Possess experience processing draft, worksheets, and memos in final form.
