Duties
Through regular communication establish a collaborative working relationship with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are heard and addressed. Identify and analyze problems; distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions and develop solutions. Is able to communicate effectively with all levels and types of organizations and audiences. Use partnerships to achieve collaborative solutions and resolve complex problems. Use project management, conflict management, mediation, team building, and negotiation tools to achieve results in a collaborative spirit. Analyze diverse viewpoints to make planning decisions and solve work problems
Work with the Power System Dispatcher and water authorities to accomplish overall operation of the power and water system with individual responsibility for control of powerplants and water release equipment
Perform operations by centralized (SCAD A) or local control
Apply journeyman level skill and knowledge to operate the main units, switchyard and station service boards which start, stop, and control hydroelectric generating and/or pumping units, auxiliary equipment, and water release equipment
Operate, adjust, test and care for the sewage disposal plant
Responsible for accurate operating records and required reports
Exercise independent judgment in the routine, emergency and varying requirements of the operation of the sewage disposal plant and lab facilities
Evaluate and analyze operating interruptions and diagnoses cause
