You will serve as a Human Resuorces Assistant (MIL/OA) in the Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit of RECRUITING UNIT.
Duties
You will maintain residual service records.
You will perform the final review of routine transactions, independently processing actions, which involve unusual and complex procedural and substantive issues.
You will make detailed procedural review of special action cases involving unusual procedural issues or disciplinary actions comparable to letters of counseling, reprimands, MAST and Uniform Code of Military Justice proceedings.
You will assist with resolution of medical billings and location of medical service providers.
You will use computer hardware and software to support the operations of the office.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing, typing, routing, and filing naval correspondence/reports, creating rosters, mail handling, facilitating customer service calls; 2) Reviewing awards and directives, maintaining electronic and paper files/records as well as other human resources related administrative duties.; 3) Retrieving data from various information sources, both manual and electronic, for use in answering questions, responding to correspondence, or preparing reports or briefings; 4) Tracking pay related issued through military pay system; 5) Identifying gaps or inconsistencies in the record and initiates action to obtain needed data; and 6) Researching and/or provides information regarding a variety of rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements to provide explanations of actions taken or recommended.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed four years of education above high school level.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
