You will serve as a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR in the TRAINING AIR WING ONE (00) of TRARON NINE.
Duties
You will assigns and review work of subordinates based on difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of employees.
You will identify development and training needs of employees, and arrange needed training.
You will develops performance plans and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
You will ensure that the daily aviation and training requirements that are mission essential are executed as directed.
You will direct and coordinate administrative functions involving correspondence, directives, awards, message processing, operations and aviation training
documentation, and travel functions.
You will provide support services via assigned personnel to the various squadron departments including Administration, Student Control, Operations, and Training.
You will supervise all active duty Navy pay and personnel actions for uniformed staff.
You will run weekly reports and performs periodic spot checks to ensure travel documents are legal, proper and correct to be paid.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
GS-08:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-7) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating administrative programs by analyzing personnel requirements and training needs to plan daily workload assignments and develop reports or recommendations to improve the efficiency of an administrative support activity.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree. The major study of such education is in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled.

Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
