The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Configuration and Data Management Specialist and perform specific portions of configuration, data, engineering/technical data, STINFO, airworthiness and deficiency reporting management tasks in support of a Division/Branch. Serves as the lead Configuration/Data Management Specialist.
Duties
Serves as Team Leader for technical personnel. Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
Performs Configuration Management (CM) tasks in support of a United States Air Force (USAF) or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) life cycle management organization.
Performs Data Management (DM) tasks in support of a USAF or FMS life cycle management organization.
Performs engineering/technical data management tasks in support of a USAF or FMS life cycle organization.
Performs Deficiency Report (DR) Management tasks in support of a USAF or FMS life cycle management organization.
Performs all duties in a professional manner, supporting management and users of process outputs, providing advice and assistance as required.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program, Series 0301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience includes expert knowledge of configuration and data management policies as specified in Air Force regulations, manuals, military specifications and standards, and organizational directives. Experience in contractor estimating and pricing techniques as related to proposal evaluation; skills in the use of principles of negotiations as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts in engineering change proposals and contract change proposals evaluation, including contracting, configuration, data, engineering data, and audits; Knowledge of the SPO's and contractor operations and familiarity with the various management and technical abilities involved sufficient to enable an understanding of technical and procurement terminology and procedures.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
