Duties
As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
Performs repairs to buildings and quarters to include replacing doors, shelves, hardware, and windows.
Paints various types of structures such as interior and exterior metal, wood, and masonry surfaces.
Performs plumbing tasks to include replacing hose bibs, valves, nipples, elbows, fixtures, and toilets.
Performs electrical tasks to include tightening, splicing, and insulating defective wiring and fixtures.
Cleans buildings, offices, and comfort stations.
Operates and performs operator maintenance on cars, trucks, and/or van and stake trucks to pick up/transport supplies.
Operates a forklift and light duty truck.
Assists with maintenance of utility systems in the facility, including sewer and electrical distribution.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
Use of Measuring Instruments
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Materials
