You will serve as an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in theNSA ANNAPOLIS Emergency Operations Center.

Duties

You will advise on matters relating to an organization's emergency management program. You will analyze established emergency procedures to confirm community and public awareness is incorporated into plans, preparations, and training You will brief senior leaders on emergency management program initiatives and plans. You will analyze methods and techniques to improve emergency response and recovery capabilities You will determine needs or resources (e.g., technical expertise, equipment, funding) to support emergency activities You will write material documenting emergency management program initiatives for management review

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical proficiency for emergency management/services and Regional Dispatch Center (RDC) with ability to asses and resolve communication/emergency notification issues with effective oral and written communication skills. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
