You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management Community of NAVMEDFORSUPCMD FT SAM.
Duties
You will review and maintain current/prior year Navy ERP obligation/accounts payable/expenditures
records to ensure systems are reconciled
You will participate in Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) reviews.
You will provide Program Manager aged commitments/accounts payable reports.
You will use software capabilities (e.g., Excel, Access, or similar software) to process, review, and report on financial data.
You will interpret financial data to develop recommendations.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing accounting systems, policies, procedures, examining, verifying, and maintaining accounts and accounting data and preparing and analyzing reports.
Experience in preparing and extracting records from financial automated systems (e.g. Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Automated Disbursing System (ADS), Electronic Document Access (EDA), Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), etc.) and reconcile those records to maintain complete and accurate financial records.
Experience in reconciling Navy ERP with other systems to make the appropriate adjustments or communicate the action required by another process owner.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets, manipulate data, and perform basic formatting and calculations.
Experience using the DAR-Q/CERMC process, demonstrating strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail in documenting current and prior year open documents for audit.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
