The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement as required for the people, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and for Department of Defense (DoD) activities and DoD leased facilities not under the jurisdiction of a Military Department within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Duties
Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Plans, analyzes, justifies, presents, executes, and reviews Pentagon Force Protection Agency revolving fund budget and programs.
Reviews, analyzes, and interprets legislation, appropriation language and Office of the Secretary of Defense/Office of Management and Budget directives pertaining to Pentagon Force Protection Agency.
Assists the Financial Management Officer regarding work to be accomplished by the Budget Formulation team members, setting, and adjusting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work.
Provides advice to the Financial Management Officer on assigning work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments and the capabilities of employees.
Formulates, integrates, and reviews budget documentation.
Requirements

- This is a National Security Position has been designated as Top Secret, Critical-Sensitive High Risk level. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see https://www.sss.gov/Home/Registration) Total salary varies depending on location of position
- Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment and are subjected to random drug testing.
- Required to participate in the direct deposit program
- The incumbent must adhere to DoD Standards of Conduct
- This position requires incumbent to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. IAW Public Law 112-81 and DoD Policy the incumbent shall comply with the requirements of DoD FM Certification Program.
- This position may require occasional travel away from your normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. Travel will be within the United States and overseas.
- This position has been designated as "Mission Essential." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GS-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience participating in the development of budgetary and financial policies and/or procedures, interpreting guidance and presenting findings to stakeholders, and developing recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GS-14 grade level.
