This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Superintendent, Senate Office Buildings, Client Services Division, Labor and Custodial Branch, Night Labor and Custodial Section.
Serves as the Facilities Supervisor overseeing the night force work operations and management of the night labor and cleaning forces (i.e. custodial, labor (recycling), floor care, etc.
Duties
Tour of duty for this position: Monday – Friday, third shift overnight. This is not a telework eligible position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as having (3) three of the (5) four following: (experience MUST be identified in resume)
Directs the management and administration of the operations of the Labor and Custodial Section.
Plans and directs the overall work of the Labor and Custodial Section
Exercises responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units and in advising senior management officials.
Frequent contact with Senators, their staff members, committee staffs, supervisors, contractors and vendors.
Provide recommendations concerning work requirements, work procedures, project resources, planning based on projected workload,
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE - FACILITIES SUPERVISOR, GS-12
Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as having (4) four of the (5) five following: (experience MUST be identified in resume)
Directs the management and administration of the operations of the Labor and Custodial Section.
Plans and directs the overall work of the Labor and Custodial Section
Exercises responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units and in advising senior management officials.
Makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinate supervisors or by contractors
Active participation in conferences, meetings or presentations involving problems or issues
Education
Three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study related to the duties of the position can be used to qualify for the GS-11.
Special Instructions for Foreign Education:
Education completed outside of the United States must be deemed equivalent to that gained in conventional/accredited U.S. education programs to be acceptable for Federal employment.
Qualifying education from colleges and universities in foreign countries must be evaluated in terms of equivalency to that acquired in U.S. colleges and universities. Applicants educated in whole or in part of foreign countries must submit sufficient evidence, including transcripts, to an accredited private organization for an equivalency evaluation of course work and degree.
You must provide a copy of the letter containing the results of the equivalency evaluation with a course-by-course listing if selected.
