About the Position: Responsible for providing functional support and subject matter expertise to AMC, IMCOM, Directorates, Garrison/DPTMS Airfield Operations in support of Senior Commanders at IMCOM managed airfields/heliports.
Duties
Serve as staff Airfield Operations action officer responsible for coordination, oversight, and implementation of all policies and directives relating to services at installation airfield/heliport management and operations.
Responsible for policy development, implementation, and oversight of the command’s Airfield/Heliport Quality Assurance Evaluation (QAE) and Self-Inspection programs as part of the Airfield Quality Assurance Program.
Develop and implement Installation Status Report Service 900 for garrison support requirements.
Develop and present briefings, information papers and recommendations to senior leadership within IMCOM.
Produce reports and keep track of statistical data and other records to use for historical data, records, and audit trails.
Serve as a lead in programs such as: MDEP QAAF PPBE, Airfield/Air Traffic Control Equipment Maintenance, Training and Career Development, and/or Airfield services program management.
Requirements

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience which includes: providing technical expertise in the execution and planning of Airfield Operations services; managing administrative processes as related to Airfield Operations services; coordinating with airfield support activities to meet airfield mission requirements; developing and/or implementing policies and procedures for airfield operations services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
