Duties

As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator, you will perform the following duties: Operates, maintains, and performs repairs to the Trunk Bay Public Water System and the Cinnamon Bay Public Water System. Operates, maintains, and performs repairs to the residential water systems throughout the park employee housing units. Required to keep accurate logs on the various phases of operation, plant condition(s), and laboratory test results. Checks gauges, motors, pumps, control devices, and recording instruments on systems. Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and repairs to the common equipment associated with water and wastewater system operations. Replaces defective components on all equipment, including pumps, relays, float switches, and controls. Follow scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and routine servicing of mechanical equipment such as valves, compressors, motors, centrifugal, macerator, and air lift pumps, automatic controls such as electrical relays, time delay switches, and pump start-stop switches. Performs routine and mandatory tests on water systems for chlorine residuals, hardness, pH, and iron on water systems.
