About the Position: Serve as the AVN STR Equipment Specialist (LAR) with responsibility to develop and implement the Technical Assistance plan for the AVN family of systems throughout their lifecycle.
Duties
Develop requirements as they relate to readiness and sustainment support for AVN system
Develop and implement both formal and informal transfer of knowledge to lower grade AVN LARs and soldiers
Participate in extensive weapon system integration theory, planning and testing as evidenced by a continual focus on expanding the applications and capabilities of assigned systems
Utilize technical knowledge of design and manufacture of AVN systems to advise and direct military personnel in maintenance procedures on the Legacy, Bridging, Future, and AVN systems

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 level in the Federal service which includes 1) Configuring, maintaining and upgrading system networks, loading and use of a variety of software applications, recognizing the current software versions, loading and installing Information Assurance Vulnerability Managers (IAVMs) and security updates; 2) Provide technical advice, assistance, and instruction to Army commands on the operation and maintenance of CECOM-managed AVN equipment and the timely resolution of hardware, software, maintenance and supply problems; and 3) Investigate failure trends in systems malfunctions and logistics for the causes for unusual down time
