About the Position: The Logistics Management Specialist position located at the Army Training Support Center, Fort Eustis, VA.
Duties
Serves as a senior logistics management specialist, responsible for the management and oversight of Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) and associated training support material Army wide.
Coordinates the management and execution of Contractor Logistics Support activities for training devices and associated equipment worldwide.
Develops/revises supplements to Army and Army Command (ACOM) level regulations, plans, and instructions for devices and related training support equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the
duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 40% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing logistics problems, determining root causes of problems, and recommending corrective action; 2) providing technical assistance to improve and sustain the logistic profile and materiel readiness in the field environment; 3) assisting with maintenance and supply policy for the standardization of functional operations where none exists; AND 4) understanding budget systems such as the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution system (PPBE). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
