Position may be filled as a term appointment Not-To-Exceed (2) years. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Duties

Drive sedans, vans, 44-passenger buses and 56-passenger MCI coach-style buses, loaded with personnel, articles, and materials throughout the installation and on public roads. Assist with loading and unloading materials and/or passengers. Complete preventive maintenance service records for vehicles.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B license with endorsement for passengers. Must also be able to obtain and retain a valid state operator's license.
• Drug testing required prior to employment and random testing during employment.
• Pre-employment physical and annual physical while in the position.
• May be required to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays and on-call duty hours.
• May be required to wear a uniform when dealing with the general public.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
