About the Position: Serves as Support Services Specialist for the U.S Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). Supports the administrative and logistical functions in the areas of Facilities and Fleet Management.

Duties

Coordinates with Corps of Engineers and the General Services Agency (GSA) to resolve issues pertaining to facilities and motor vehicle management. Disseminates technical guidance to workforce as it pertains to facility management and vehicle usage. Identify facility requirements for multiple locations within assigned organization. Utilize an established checklist to conduct inspections on facilities. Advise on all matters pertaining to motor vehicle control to ensure all work is completed within standards. Execute vehicle replacement/turn-in program to maintain vehicle strength at approved levels. Produces reports to describe vehicle accidents and misuse.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required to recruiting companies/stations or supporting installations.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) utilizing existing directives to assist in the management of a motor vehicle fleet; (2) utilizing an automated system to input and extract data; (3) reviewing maintenance requirements for facilities and/or vehicles within assigned organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: 1 year (18 semester hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education in public administration, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
