You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SUPPORT in the SURFACE ADVANCED WARFIGHTING SCHOOL of NAVSURFMINEWARDEVCEN DET SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will perform a variety of analysis, design and development tasks. You will use specialized computers and software programs to create and design visual artwork and printed material. You will coordinate design and development of original products and convey with customers the desired message. You will provide technical assistance to customers. You will use a diverse understanding of the of multi-media source material to research, create and compile visual products. You will utilize professional-level computer software and hardware in the design of videos, narration, 2D and 3D animations, electronic presentations, interactive media, and computer-based training. You will troubleshoot and maintain website operational problems such as broken links or file directory and application problems.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing specialized computers and software to design and produce a variety of graphic, printed, and web-based material that convey the intended message and ensure the products meet a department or commands mission. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree that included a major study in commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position being filled.
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree that included a major study in commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position being filled.
OR
Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
