About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Resource Management Information Management at Tripler Army Medical Center, on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii.
Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is only available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Duties
Provide technical support to maintain network systems.
Provide accurate and timely Tier II/III service to support internal and external customers.
Integrate voice and data communications standard practices for organization.
Manage VoIP and network systems to ensure optimal system performance.
Provide technical guidance in the planning, development and acquisition of network devices and systems
Manage matters relating to configuration and life cycle management of information systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
- Moderate lifting up to 45 pounds is required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- 16. This position has been designated as an IAT Level II.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Analyzing network operations, resolving network issues; maintaining network system, and making recommendations for improvement.
