Duties

You will be responsible to maintain a good inventory of signs, and materials. You will perform full range of sign painter assignments and use skills and knowledge to prepare layouts and finish signs, posters, plaques, graphs and identifying markings. You will work with various types of lettering, vinyl reflective, instant type of dry ink etc. You will work with shaded lettering and block same. You will lift and transfer vinyl and reflective lettering to various sign materials, graphic computers, plotters, copiers, and also the use of fonts, color graphics and Auto-Cad program.

Requirements

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to successfully complete an annual physical.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• You will be required to physically be able to lift weights approaching 40-50 pounds.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Must have a knowledge of sign design to include lettering, spacing, and layout; Must be able to use all tools of the trade such as lettering pens, lettering kits, spray guns; Must be able to research catalogs, manufacturers specification, to requisition materials and tools, computer parts, or plotter parts from catalogs.
