This position will be impacted by a Reduction In Force (RIF) within the next 3-5 years(subject to change), due to closure of the organization. Impacted employees will be assessed for all eligible RIF benefits should that occur.
About the Position: Serve as the Lead General Supply Specialist with Pueblo Chemical Depot.
Duties
Responsible for managing a large storage/distribution facility that supports supply program operations.
Provide guidance to several subordinate supply technicians.
Lead all supply activities such as requisitioning, inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items and equipment.
Implement and maintain an accountability program by developing new and improved supply methods.
Prioritize the work assigned to your unit and distribute the workload among the supply technicians to effectively utilize personnel.
Compose receiving, month-end, reconciliation, etc. reports to summarize information and data and brief managers on these reports.
Instruct and provide on-the job training to the supply technicians regarding specific tasks or job techniques.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent required to complete pre-employment and subsequent drug screenings.
- Incumbent required to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 Clearance.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: apply a wide range of supply principles, concepts and methodologies; knowledge of supply, security, and inventory management functions to safely and properly secure, store, maintain, and account for property; analyze and resolve supply and acquisition problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-7).
Education
