You will serve as a Deputy Equal Employment Officer in the Equal Employment Office Northwest of USPACFLT EEO PROGRAM MANAGEMENT.
Duties
You will be responsible for ensuring effective EEO program management and compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), DON and Major Command (MC) EEO policies and applicable laws and regulations.
You will be responsible for exploring and finding mitigation and/or seeks waivers to resolve highly complex conflicts and implements practices that meet intended results of EEO program policy and requirements.
You will be responsible for serving as the primary authority to sign EEO correspondence, including formal discrimination complaints acceptance/dismissal letters on behalf of the Secretary of the Navy.
You will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing innovative methodologies and processes for the effective resolution, program management, processing, and settlement of complaints.
You will be responsible for serving as the technical expert on all EEO matters.
You will be responsible for providing direction, guidance, and oversight in conducting annual assessments EEO programs and provides results to COs, Executives, and senior managers by way of a “State of Command” annual brief.
You will be responsible for providing oversight for 18 funded positions (33 validated manpower requirements) engaged in administering the EEO Program.
You will be responsible for performing supervisory responsibilities applicable to employees’ employment: recruitment/hiring, indoctrination, training/development, performance management, recognition, corrective measures, and succession planning.
You will be responsible for formulating short- and long-range resourcing plans based on current and projected mission requirements.
You will be responsible for identifying and providing recommendations to program methods and approaches based on systemic and period evaluations and assessments.
You will be responsible for providing leadership to the AEPM, SEPs, and committees/groups established by serviced activities, i.e., Barrier Analysis Teams, Employee Resource Groups, and SEP Councils.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders..
