Duties
-Conduct land reviews for compliance with management plans.
-Regulate the storage and release of water in accordance with contractual obligations with partnering irrigation districts, individual water contractors, and senior water rights and state agencies.
-Prepare, administer and oversee permits for wildlife management and easement lands.
-Oversee a maintenance program to ensure repair schedules are adhered to and equipment remains in good working order.
-Prepare and submit annual operation and maintenance plans for facilities to include activities surrounding the operation and maintenance of recreation areas; drinking water supply systems; wildlife management areas; hydraulic facilities; and land management activities.
-Coordinate with Federal, State and local agencies regarding actions and services and operation and maintenance of Reclamation owned infrastructures and associated facilites and lands.
Qualifications

Basic Education Requirement:
A. Degree: A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in the biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry or related disciplines appropriate to this position.
OR
B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:In addition to meeting the basic education requirement, you must also meet the qualifications below:
GS-11:
Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service or its non-Federal equivalent that included experience providing technical guidance on water and/or land resources; ensuring compliance with land and/or water management plans; and preparing technical reports.
OR
Education: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, in a related field. OR Combination of graduate education and specialized experience as described above.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
