This position is located in Management Directorate, Office of Human Capital and Training, Academy Training Center. As a Special Assistant, you will partner with management to compose a wide variety of correspondence; manage special projects to improve operational efficiency; produce reports, briefings and long-range management plans; organize and host committees, workshops and events.

Duties

Develops long-range management plans for new or complex programs and efficient and effective operations of the organization. Analyzes Academy Training Center (ATC) workflows and establishes procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Conceives and implements new initiatives and projects to strengthen, facilitate, and integrate programs for office or program issues of broad impact. Maintains primary responsibility for preparing, researching and forwarding changes in policies and procedures to ATC staff. Maintains office files and directives of interest to the ATC management for archiving and for ready recall.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 05/24/2024. Time in Grade does not apply to Delegated Examining Announcements, any reference to Time in Grade in the questionnaire will not apply to the rating and ranking of applicants. GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
